Supply Drives Are Coming!

With school coming up, the Centre has already started getting some donations, but it sounds like a good time to shake the tin cans and collect

I don't have firm dates for school supplies, clothing, or food, so keep your schedules open!~ 💖

WARNING: FLOODING

To anyone in the mansion who hasn’t gotten a weather notice: DX and NYC as a whole are currently flooding. There are efforts to minimize damages to properties however the drainage system has already been overwhelmed due to the continuing storm.

I’m currently working with people at the center, as people have come for shelter. I’ve a number of unattended children of people know of anyone missing their children, please send them my number. If any teleporter is still at the mansion, you have my permission to go into my room and take out any dry clothes to bring in.

Finished my shows and have even gone full circle so I’m rewatching the Tribe for the nostalgia (I don’t wanna talk about how bad it is, I know how bad it is but I also wanted to be one of this teens). Spring semester's almost over, just in time for the summer semester to start. Thinking of just leaving to have a fishing boat in Alaska and raise a gaggle of fisher-children. (Yes, I binged The Great North, and I am going to assume all of Alaska is like it now. No, I will not take criticism. Yes, you may visit me.)

Terrible news: Oh god, I feel like shit, like a hangover with a hangover. I'm in the city, because it turns out I missed a quiz. Prof was not happy, taking the L on that. Coffee's burnt and I stubbed my toe.

I don’t really talk about home a lot but I found out last month that they’d be shutting down their last coal powered power plant and they actually did it, so I’m chuffed. Pleased. Whatever. Obviously energy has a long way to go still but makes me think a lot about that solar punk aesthetic —Yes we’ve got that new power, (thanks science people, I blow a kiss to you 😘 ) but a girl can dream.

I think we have too many chicken eggs. I didn't realize how many eggs 5 chickens had, and like, yeah they're obviously up for grabs in the main kitchen but... we have so many eggs. I tried to look up donating them or the like but I didn't find what I was looking for immediately and kept getting sites I didn't want sooooo does anyone know the egg donating laws here? Or could we legally give them out from the community center?

Also come look at the girls, they're lovely little buggers even if they won't stop having fuckin eggs.

Library Status: Closed

I am once against closing the library because we have no power, and I don't want anyone having a row of books falling on them. Or damaging a book in the dark.

Big thank you to Clarice, who helped me realize I could wear red and thus a red jumpsuit, and Felicia, who made me look presentable for commencement.

I will return Matt and Clint to the mansion once I've walked across the stage or successfully spread the rumor that one is my boss and the other pays for my new expensive lifestyle. Or both. Probably both.
