I think we have too many chicken eggs. I didn't realize how many eggs 5 chickens had, and like, yeah they're obviously up for grabs in the main kitchen but... we have so many eggs. I tried to look up donating them or the like but I didn't find what I was looking for immediately and kept getting sites I didn't want sooooo does anyone know the egg donating laws here? Or could we legally give them out from the community center?

Also come look at the girls, they're lovely little buggers even if they won't stop having fuckin eggs.

Unless ANOTHER chicken has appeared only to leave eggs and waddle off, yes we only have 5, but those girls have laid 70+ eggs in the last few weeks and that’s on top of the other eggs that we’ve been collecting. I’ve tried to keep the oldest on top so like, fingers crossed no old eggs are kicking around where they shouldn’t be...

Thus, my egg conundrum — my eggnundrum if you will.

I'm about to make so many things that use a bunch of eggs. You're all eating egg muffins for the next several weeks, come to the kitchen and help me pick out mix-ins. And I'll make a few frittatas and quiches too, they freeze fine and use like 6-12 eggs each.

My grandma taught me how to tell if an egg is bad - you put it in a bowl of water, and if it floats, it's bad. Good eggs sink. :)

I'm not even sure if all of us did eat eggs and bacon for at least a meal a day, it would make it all better. 70+ eggs is a fair amount, even if it is divided amongst the, what, 50 of us? And not everyone eats eggs AND bacon.

There's literally just so many. And we can't exactly stop them from having more. Please take as many eggs as you want. The girls are natural eggers.

I know, it's the worst. If you want to learn some basic cooking I'll teach you. Egg muffins are uh... kinda hard to fuck up, as long as you don't toss bad ingredients in. I'll do some of the standard meat/egg/cheese or veg/egg/cheese and cheeseless ones, but I'll also make up custom ones. (I like mediterranean inspired flavors sometimes, so I've got a batch of spinach, tomato, feta, and chopped olive for me.)

I'm fairly certain the witch trials involved something to weigh down the alleged witch and then someone to drag it back to shore to see if the lady in question was dead or not. Or maybe it was bubbles. We covered more the Spanish Inquisition than the American Witch Hunts in Ireland.
